Happy New Year!!! We arrived in El Paso 4 years ago on January 2nd. To celebrate we have had people over for steak dinner & it has migrated to New Years Eve, since it's too crazy to go out anymore. We have added crab to the menu, and our remaining attendees are Frank and Lucia. They are newly wed this year, and have been getting advice about developing their family traditions for holidays etc. I am happy to hear that NYE at the McCleary's is a tradition that made the cut! We had a fun night!
Usually I send out my New Years letters on the 1st but I just don't think I am going to manage more than a post on my blog. Maybe I will copy it onto Facebook too and I feel like I am cheating by only using online methods. Please see my prior posts for my excuses - some legitimate(2 and 12 year old foster kids), some maybe not (holidays? that's the same every year!) but I just can't seem to keep up lately! Jeff just packed up some of the pool cups/plates/bottle & can coolies, I am that far behind. We normally send a package to his sister in Germany around Thanksgiving. I don't recall when we got around to sending it, but he labeled it Happy First Quarter.
P.S. as I type, my mom is currently working on crafts for next years Christmas packages. Usually I can say I am my mother's daughter...but not today!
